"Is it necessary at times to practice it simply to keep one's sanity, live normally, enjoy a fine meal and a glass of wine, as the world around us experiences harrowing upheavals?" - Elie Wiesel
If everyone read Elie Wiesel's The Perils of Indifference, the whole world would change for the better. In his speech, Elie Wiesel speaks passionately about how dangerous indifference is as he witnessed its destruction first hand. To give everyone a better understanding of The Perils of Indifference, I created a photo essay to express just how dangerous indifference really is. Indifference is so dangerous that I know for a fact that many people reading this blog post might not even know what it truly means.
Your Indifference is Deadly
Just because you’re not experiencing the direct effects doesn’t mean you should ignore what’s going on. You cannot turn your back on the world. We’re in a time when the gap between the haves and the have nots is larger than ever and growing. Life is unpredictable and anything can happen at any moment. You might not be experiencing these issues first hand, but you could one day. Would you like if the world turned their back on you if you were struggling to survive on a daily basis?
